THE CHALLENGE
N'Digo Studio was looking for a refresh for their Season 2 launch. The goal was to create something jazzy and sophisticated; the two adjectives describe the show's mood. We wanted a refresh for the current audience while also attracting an audience looking for energy and fun during the show's time slot.THE SOLUTION
Combining "Jazzy" and "Sophisticated," a mood was created independently for each respective adjective then combined and coined "Sophisticool." This displayed the duality displayed by the host and audience.THE RESULT
N'DIGO Studio loves the work and asked me to continue working on the brand to match every touchpoint's mood.THE LOGO
Combining Jazzy and Sophisticated this dual-font logomark is a little bit of each. N'DIGO is comprised of Solar Vesta Script and is the jazzy side of things. It stands out and has all the personality a logomark could need. STUDIO is a typeface called Losta Masta and grounds the logomark with a sophistication that the audience exudes. The Outcome
N'Digo Studio debuted season 2 with rave reviews of the new look and feel. The logo is credited with bringing in a younger audience to the show. "
THE DIRECTION
The first round of sketches was more sophisticated than jazzy. Too sophisticated to capture the mood. So we reversed course, and the client went through a pre-production process that guarantees success (after not doing it before the first round, looking to fast-track the project), and we gave it another shot.UNDERSTANDING THE AUDIENCE
Sophisticated, with the times, educated, bourgeoisie, and the movers and shakers of Chicago, this show is for those who run the city and know the city's elite tastemakers. "Sophisticool" is the concept the show's creator coined for the audience." I wanted the mood to reflect the TV show that we were producing, and he captured it as a great communication. It takes intellectual comprehension and emotional impact to get it right and provide the right vibe."

THE COLLATERAL
Once the logo was completed, we put the sophisticool branding to the test and added it to some Google Adwords to promote the season 2 premiere. We created a jazzy adjective for each sophisticated noun (mostly)."Logos are important because they become the "image" of your project. Alan got the concept, purpose, and meaning of what we were conveying and produced the appropriate NDIGO STUDIO logo. "
